Push Gaming is live in Alberta with bet365, BetMGM and Betty, and says the province takes it past 20 regulated markets. Our own records put the studio at 13. Neither number is wrong, and the reason they differ is the most useful thing in this announcement.
What was announced
The London studio said in July 2026 that it had gone live in Alberta as the province's competitive market opened, with Razor Shark, Jammin' Jars, Big Bamboo 2 and Razor Shark Jackpots among the titles, alongside PrizeFlex, its supplier-agnostic jackpot and gamification tool. It named bet365, BetMGM and Betty as launch partners and said it now serves over 20 regulated markets.
Chief commercial officer Alistair Johnson called 2026 “a pivotal year for Push Gaming's global expansion”. The studio entered Ontario in 2022.
What a market count counts
There is no agreed definition, which is why supplier market counts are rarely comparable. A studio may count a market where it holds a licence but has no operator live; where an aggregator carries its games without a direct relationship; or where a single title has been certified. Any of those is defensible. None of them means the same thing to a buyer.
We count a market as live when we can tie the supplier to activity in it, which is a narrower test and produces a smaller number. Ours is 13: Ontario, the United Kingdom, Malta, Gibraltar, Italy, Greece, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Romania, Brazil, Michigan and New Jersey. The method is set out on how we verify data.
The practical advice is to ignore the headline number entirely and ask the supplier which operators it is live with in the one market you care about. Push Gaming named three for Alberta, which is more useful than any count.
What our records show
Two licences, both confirmed by opening the issuing register: a Malta Gaming Authority B2B licence (MGA/B2B/779/2020) and a UK Gambling Commission licence (054984-R-332139-012). The studio was founded in 2010 and is based in London.
If you are shortlisting
Naming operators is a stronger claim than naming markets, because it is checkable — you can open bet365's Alberta lobby and look. That is the standard worth holding suppliers to, and it is the one this announcement happens to meet.
