Maxxi Labs launches Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid as a Stake exclusive

Slotty Studio's very high-volatility Coin Grid slot, with wins up to 13,283x, will stay exclusive to Stake for the lifetime of the game.

Maxxi Labs has released Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid, a new slot from its Slotty Studio built only for Stake. The game will stay exclusive to the crypto casino and sportsbook for its whole lifetime, not just for an early-release window.

How the game works

Rats vs Ravens is a very high-volatility slot with a top win of 13,283x the stake. It is set on neon-lit city streets, with a rat and a raven fighting over coins.

  • Coin Grid: a grid sits on top of the reels. Every Cash or Jackpot coin that lands is copied onto it and stays there. Players collect the coins by completing a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. Because the grid does not reset each spin, players have a target that builds over the session.
  • Hold&Win: starts with three respins, and extra rows unlock as the feature goes on. Collector and Doubler symbols can add to the coin values.
  • Power Mode: can switch on in the base game, adding coins and making it easier to reach Hold&Win.
  • Super Stack and Free Spins: symbols stack across the reels, and three or more Scatters award 10 free spins with stacked Wild or Coin symbols.

Maxxi Labs and Stake

Maxxi Labs runs a group of six independent studios under one brand, sharing back-office tools and distribution while each studio keeps its own creative style. Its games are aimed at mainstream, streamer-led and crypto-native audiences.

This is not the group's first Stake deal. Mad Ducks, also from Maxxi Labs, launched with an early-release exclusive on Stake. Rats vs Ravens goes further with a lifetime exclusive.

What they said

A Maxxi Labs spokesperson said:

“Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid shows what can happen when Maxxi Labs studios are free to follow their own creative instincts. Slotty has combined an urban setting with Coin Grid gameplay to give the title a character all its own.

“And the lifetime exclusive with Stake makes this one particularly exciting. Mad Ducks was the first Maxxi Labs title to land an early release exclusive with Stake, bringing the farmyard chaos. Rats vs Ravens heads somewhere grittier, into neon-lit streets and an after-dark world. That contrast, and the ability to create bespoke content for an operator and its audience, is the breadth we want Maxxi Labs to be known for.”

Gamitas view

Lifetime exclusives are still rare. Most studios give an operator a few weeks of early access and then roll the game out to everyone, because a slot earns most of its revenue from wide distribution. Giving one up for good only makes sense when the operator is big enough to pay for it, and Stake, with its large streamer and crypto player base, is one of the few that is.

The deal also shows how operators now compete on content. We saw the same with BetMGM's Q3 results, where exclusive games were a big part of the growth story. For smaller studios, a bespoke game for one large operator can be a faster route to visibility than a wide launch. Operators looking for studios open to exclusive or custom games can compare options on our game provider list and slots supplier pages.
