Kinetic Digital has launched its online casino brands Spin Genie and Mega Casino in Alberta, adding the province to its international footprint as the market's regulated era gets under way.
The launch in brief
- Brands: Spin Genie and Mega Casino.
- Market: Alberta, the second Canadian province to open online gaming to private, regulated operators after Ontario.
- Products: online slots, live casino and table games, with promotions and responsible gambling tools.
- Position: part of Kinetic Digital's wider international expansion, using the same platform that runs its brands in other regulated markets.
- Technology: platform and operations from parent company SkillOnNet.
What they said
Dominic Aldworth, head of brand marketing at Kinetic Digital, said the company was pleased to bring both brands to players in Alberta and sees significant potential to grow there. He said the aim is to build "lasting relationships with players" in the province.
Gamitas view
Kinetic Digital's brands run on SkillOnNet, which handles the whole chain for its partner sites in-house: platform, operations, compliance and marketing. Its Gamitas profile lists 12 regulated markets across Europe and Latin America, and Alberta adds another to the group's footprint.
Alberta is filling up quickly. Our coverage of the opening showed Light & Wonder live on day one, and BetMGM says early player value in the province is running ahead of its Ontario launch. Every new operator brand there is another integration for studios and aggregators to win, and suppliers still waiting on registration with the province's regulator will want to move quickly. Buyers can compare platform providers and follow the rules on our Canada compliance page.
