OpenBet takes Loterie Romande's sportsbook live across digital and retail

Loterie Romande's JouezSport offering has moved to OpenBet's sportsbook across online, self-service terminals and 2,350 retail points of sale, with Cash Out live at launch.

OpenBet has launched its next-generation sportsbook with Loterie Romande, the exclusive regulated sports betting operator for Switzerland's six French-speaking cantons and a member of the World Lottery Association (WLA). The launch was announced on 15 October 2026.

What is live

  • Channels: Loterie Romande's JouezSport omnichannel sportsbook now runs on the OpenBet platform across online, self-service betting terminals and 2,350 retail points of sale.
  • Cash Out: a new Cash Out feature is live at launch across Loterie Romande's digital channels.
  • Trading: OpenBet's Managed Trading Services provide AI-enhanced odds and risk management.
  • Orchestration: the OpenBet Trading System acts as a multi-vendor orchestration hub, giving access to data, trading services and content through a single integration.

A record year for OpenBet

OpenBet says its technology and services power more than 20 lotteries worldwide. During the FIFA World Cup 2026 it processed more than 175 million bets and over $3 billion in stakes across its platform customers, its largest betting event to date, with zero outages from the opening match to the final. OpenBet is also a Gold Contributor to the WLA, which requires suppliers to meet the association's standards for social responsibility, responsible gaming, security and risk management.

What they said

Nikos Konstakis, President at OpenBet, said:

“We are proud to partner with Loterie Romande, delivering an enhanced player experience with Cash Out live at launch, alongside an unwavering commitment to responsible gaming and regulatory compliance. We are delighted to continue our track record of delivering world-class technology and peerless scale to WLA members around the world.”

Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, CEO of Loterie Romande, said:

“OpenBet's sportsbook technology, track record and customer-centric approach meant that they were best placed to understand our specific requirements, and the natural choice to evolve the experience for our players. We are excited to see how this partnership continues to evolve, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the OpenBet team.”

Gamitas view

Loterie Romande first picked OpenBet in March 2025, so this launch completes a migration of around 18 months. For a lottery, moving a full omnichannel sportsbook is a bigger job than an online-only switch, because retail terminals and thousands of points of sale have to change over alongside the digital product.

Lotteries are an important market for sportsbook suppliers, and OpenBet is leaning on its WLA credentials to win them. Its Gamitas profile covers its sportsbook, platform and trading products. Operators can compare platform providers on Gamitas.
