It runs a dedicated gaming vertical that says it works with more than 200 gaming operators worldwide, covering global acquiring, cross-border processing, dispute management and payouts such as Mastercard MoneySend. Its merchant agreements include sector-specific additional terms for gaming and gambling merchants, and its UK entities are authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as payment institutions. Worldpay operated independently under GTCR and FIS from 2024 and was acquired by Global Payments Inc. in January 2026.
