Who reads Gamitas
Teams choosing platforms, game content, payment providers and compliance tools, and checking a supplier before they sign.
Studios, platforms and service providers following competitors, market entries and what regulators are asking for.
People tracking deals, licensing and the markets that are opening, closing or changing their rules.
What we publish from contributors
An argument from experience: what you have seen work, fail or change, and what it means for buyers or suppliers.
Numbers you can stand behind, explained. Original data is welcome; so is a sharp reading of public records.
A practical walk-through of something the industry gets wrong: an integration, a licence application, a due diligence step.
A regulatory change or market opening explained by someone working in it, with what happens next.
Before you pitch
We look for
- A clear point of view, argued with evidence
- First-hand experience: you have done the thing you are writing about
- Specifics: markets, numbers, regulators, timelines
- Something useful to a buyer or supplier by the last paragraph
We don’t publish
- Promotion of your own product or company (send that to the newsroom instead)
- Paid links, link insertions or sponsored posts presented as editorial
- Pieces already published elsewhere, including on your own blog
- Claims about competitors that you cannot source
Guidelines
- Length
- 800 to 1,500 words. Guides can run longer if the steps need it.
- Originality
- Unpublished and written for Gamitas. Once it runs, you can share it anywhere with a link back.
- Sources
- Link figures, rulings and quotes to where they come from, ideally the regulator or the company's own release.
- Disclosure
- Tell us about any commercial interest in what you are writing about. We note it at the foot of the piece.
- Links
- No paid links. A link to your company sits in your author bio, not in the body.
- Byline
- Your name, role and company, a bio of up to 50 words, a headshot and your LinkedIn profile.
- Images
- Optional. Send only images you hold the rights to, with a credit line.
- Editing
- We edit for clarity, accuracy and house style, and agree the final version with you before it publishes.
How it works
- 1Pitch
Email [email protected] with "Column pitch:" and a working title in the subject. In the email: the argument in three to five sentences, why you are the person to make it, and a rough outline.
- 2Brief
If the idea fits, we reply with the angle we would like, a length and a date. If it does not, we say so.
- 3Draft
Send the draft as a Google Doc or Word file, with your bio, headshot and any sources linked.
- 4Publish
We edit, agree the final version with you, and publish it under your byline with your own author page.
Questions
Can I write about my company's new product or deal?
Not as a column. Company announcements go to the newsroom, which reports them as news. Send us your news →
Do you accept sponsored articles?
Sponsored content is sold separately and is always labelled as sponsored. Advertise with Gamitas →
Can I republish my column elsewhere?
Yes, once it has run on Gamitas, with a link back to the original.
Can I pitch more than one idea?
Yes. Send each pitch in its own email so each one gets its own reply.
Send it to the news desk. A short, specific pitch beats a finished draft.
