Kiron Interactive has gone live with SportyBet across five African markets, putting 20 of its virtual titles in front of the operator's players in Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Nigeria from day one.
What is live
- Markets: Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Nigeria.
- Titles: 20 virtual games at launch.
- Football: league and single-match products for England, Spain and Italy, plus Soccer Stars, the fast-format iGOAL range, and Virtual World Cup and Virtual Champions League tournaments.
- Other sports: basketball, horse and greyhound racing, motorsport and further virtual formats.
SportyBet will run the virtual content alongside its live sports, giving players scheduled events throughout the day, including the gaps between real fixtures.
What they said
Steven Spartinos, co-CEO of Kiron, called going live with 20 titles in five countries from day one "a strong start" to the partnership and pointed to the breadth of the content. Joey Hurtado, casino director at SportyBet, said the operator was pleased to have Kiron's games live and looks forward to developing the partnership further.
Gamitas view
Virtual sports suit African sportsbooks well. They fill the quiet hours between real fixtures, settle in minutes and use betting markets players already know. The Kiron Interactive profile on Gamitas shows why the studio is built for these markets: more than 20 years in virtuals, over 150 operators in 70 countries, and Kiron.Lite, a low-data product designed for basic devices and patchy connectivity.
For suppliers looking at the continent, one operator deal that opens five markets at once is an efficient way in. Buyers comparing virtual sports and instant-win content can browse game providers and the Kenya and Nigeria market hubs, and check licensing rules on our South Africa compliance page.
